Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KIROSEC website, account console, and desktop analyzer (the "Services"), operated by KIROSEC, Inc. (TODO: registered legal entity name) ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms.

The service

The KIROSEC desktop analyzer processes the logs and cases you import on your own device. Paid plans unlock additional features (clean reports, cloud connectors, central sync, multi-tenant MSP tools) as described on our pricing page; the free Community plan is provided as-is for a single analyst.

Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for your organization's users and analyst invitations.
You may delete your organization and all its data at any time from the dashboard.

Software licence

These Terms govern the hosted Services. The KIROSEC source code is licensed separately under the Elastic License 2.0: you may read, run, modify, and self-host it. You may not offer it to third parties as a hosted or managed service, circumvent its licence-key functionality, or remove its licensing and branding notices. The detection rules, event schemas, and API contracts are Apache-2.0, so writing a detection or integrating against the API requires no licence from us at all.

Elastic License 2.0 is a source-available licence, not an OSI-approved open-source one. Where these Terms and the source licence differ, the source licence governs your use of the code and these Terms govern your use of the hosted Services.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Services or other tenants' data. You are responsible for having the right to process any log data you import.

Payment

Paid plans are billed per period (monthly or yearly) through our payment processor. Each payment grants access for the chosen period; access reverts to the free Community plan if a paid period lapses. Card details are handled by the processor — we never receive or store them.

Disclaimer & liability

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. KIROSEC assists security analysis but does not guarantee detection of every threat, and findings must be validated by a qualified analyst. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in the definitive agreement between us. (PLACEHOLDER — to be finalized by counsel.)

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
